Upcoming DANOS 2009 release

We want to give details of the upcoming release schedule of the DANOS project. We are expecting to make our third release of DANOS in the next few weeks, with a fourth release before the end of the year.

The next release will contain many new features that have been developed since the 2005 release. These new features include:

  • Upgrade of the Linux kernel to 5.4 and DPDK to 19.11

  • Integration of ntop's nDPI engine into the match criteria for firewall rules

  • Protocol Dependent Mapping for SNAT

  • NETCONF support for rollback

  • Enhanced observability into the behaviour of the stateless/stateful firewall, zone-based firewalls and NAT

In future blog posts, we will delve into more detail about the upcoming features, and what to expect in later releases.
