DANOS 2009 released
We are excited to announce the third release of DANOS, the open source Network Operating System (NOS). DANOS is part of the Linux Foundation and based upon AT&T's Vyatta NOS.
DANOS 2009 has many new features and numerous bug/security fixes. Of particular interest is the:
integration of the nDPI Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine into the match criteria for firewall rules,
introduction of FRR's Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) routing protocol
support for protocol-dependent mapping for Souce Network Address Translation (SNAT)
ability to apply firewall rules to all router originated packets
enhanced observability into the behaviour of the stateless/stateful firewall, zone-based firewalls and NAT
upgrade of the Linux kernel to 5.4 and DPDK to 19.11,
Details on how to download the ISO and access the full release notes are available at DANOS 2009 .
